DISTRI-LIQUE

The N4 Gateway is a new light industrial security Park, situated on the N4 Highway in the eastern suburbs of Pretoria, offering optimal location and security to prospective buyers and investors. The Park offers 124 stands, ranging from 1 493m2 to 10 563m2 and is also connected to the N1 highway and thus giving businesses access to Gauteng, Mpumalanga and Limpopo provinces.

This light Industrial Park is the new home for DISTRI-LIQ, a wholesale distributor of liquor and soft drinks to the hospitality industry.

As the location of the N4 Gateway is ideally situated for companies who distribute goods to different parts of the country, Distri-liq has made a clever decision to relocate their operation to the N4 Gateway Industrial Park.

Distri-liq obtained two light industrial stands in the N4 Gateway Industrial Park where a warehouse will be built.  Uniqon Wonings (Pty) Ltd is responsible for the construction of the warehouse.

The warehouse will be approximately 4000 m2 and as owners can built their warehouse or factory according to their own specification, it can be built to suit the owners’ needs. It will be completed by March 2011.

Exceptional security and a guaranteed supply of electricity are all competitive advantages of the park, but Uniqon Wonings, who is responsible for the development of the Park has gone the extra mile and offers additional value-ads that distinguish it from the traditional industrial parks.

The wetlands on the eastern boundary of the  park has been neglected for years and Uniqon has decided to rehabilitate the wetlands and by doings so preserve an important green lung that would feature new, indigenous plants which would help restore the wetland’s function and flora diversity.

As safety and security  measures in  the N4 Gateway Light Industrial Park is of a very high standard, this will benefit a company such as  Distri-liq, which must keep very tight control of its stock.  Twenty  four  hours a day entry and exit control recorded on CCTV, walls reaching 3 meters  height around the park, CCTV camera system, and capturing the frontal view of vehicles with number plate recognition will ensure that no  unidentified vehicle  leave the premises and thus help with the prevention of crime, such as theft and robbery.

Uniqon is also involved in the upgrading of certain roads around the N4 and Hans Strijdom intersections. Plans include new traffic lights, the creation of exclusive turning lanes and additional slip lines. Their development approach is to make the N4 Gateway part of the solution to development issues in the area.
